Balance is arranging elements
so that no one part of a work
overpowers, or seems heavier
than any other part.

The 3 kinds of balance are
symmetrical, asymmetrical, and
radial.

BALANCE
Symmetrical balance is the most stable, in a visual
sense. When both sides of an artwork are exactly (or
nearly exactly) the same the work is said to exhibit
this principle

3-EMPHASIS

PROPORTION of forms were enlarged to
show importance.
EXAMPLE:
The flowers in this
painting are very big compared
to the trees surrounding it.

3-EMPHASIS
Emphasis is on the phase so it is bigger than the background
4-HARMONY , UNITY & VARIETY
UNITY IS THE CONCEPT BEHIND AN ARTWORK

* It is how well different parts of an artwork build on
each other. example: below the concept are LINES
Variety is the quality or state of having different
forms or types, notable use of contrast,
emphasis,difference in size and color.






HARMONY
is achieved in a body of
work by using similar
elements throughout the
work, and gives an
uncomplicated look to a
piece of artwork or
sculpture.
