National Select 7on7 Championship Series

New Canaan, CT The Northeast Regional Qualifier for the National Select 7on7
Championship Series will take place July 11-12 in New Canaan, CT. The Northeast Regional
Qualifier continues to grow each year, boasting bigger and better talent than the year
before. This years tournament has grown so much that it has gone international with a
team from Quebec, Canada competing.

The tournament will begin on July 11, with all 40 teams participating in pool play. The
second day of the tournament, July 12, will consist of bracket play, including winner and
loser brackets, between all 40 teams. The tournament will end with a championship game
in which the winner will qualify for the opportunity to compete at the National
Championships in Hoover, AL the following week.

We are grateful for the support of National Select 7on7 and look forward to another
successful qualifying tournament, said New Canaan Offensive Coordinator John Marinelli.
Our qualifier features exceptional talent from our immediate area and our tournament has
grown to include phenomenal teams from upstate Connecticut and New York as well.

The teams participating in the Northeast Regional Qualifier are: Archibishop Stepinac,
Aresnal, Chesire Academy, Fairfield Prep, New Canaan, New London, Scarsdale, Trumbull,
Brunswick, Danbury, Grand Street, Iona Preparatory, New Fairfield, Notre Dame of
Fairfield, Trinity Catholic, Westhill, Brookfield, Capital Prep, Cardinal Hayes, Greenwich,
Morgan, Rye, St. Lukes, Windsor, Bullard-Havens, Middletown, New Milford, Norwalk,
Shenendehowa, Sleepy Hollow, St. Joseph, Stamford, Brien McMahon, Darien, East Haven,
Fairfield Warde, Hall, Masuk, Newton, and Southington.

We could not be happier to be going international, as we welcome a team from Canada to
this years tournament. Our expansion would not be possible without the help of our
partners from National Select 7on7, said Marinelli.

The Northeast Regional Qualifier is one of the 10 National Select 7on7 Qualifiying
Tournaments to be held this summer. The winner from each tournament qualifies to play in
the National Select 7on7 Championships in Hoover, AL July 17-19.
