This document presents an introductory project seminar on the design and implementation of an automatic colour shading machine. The objective is to develop a system that can prepare various colour shades automatically and with accuracy by mixing three basic colours in different proportions using a microcontroller. This will avoid errors from manual mixing and allow for innovative new colours to be produced. The document outlines the introduction, objective, methodology in the form of a block diagram, and references for the project.

DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF AN AUTOMATIC COLOUR SHADING MACHINE
INRODUCTION The foundation of pre- 20 th century colour theory were built around pure or ideal colours characterized by sensory experiences rather than attributes of the physical world.
This has led to a number of inaccuracies in traditional colour theory principles that are not always remedied in modern formulations.
The most important problem has been confusion between the behavior of light mixtures, called additive colour, and the behavior of paint or ink or dye or pigment mixtures, called subtractive colour.
This problem arises because the absorption of light by material substances follows different rules from the perception of light by the eye.
OBJECTIVE The present system preparing colour shades with the help of basic colours.
In this project we intent to use 3 basic colours and various colour shades can be prepared by using microcontroller based system.
This various colours can be prepared with accuracy by using various proportion automatically and as such manual error can be avoided. Further various new and attractive, innovative colour can be prepared.
Our main objective is to prepare automatic, innovative colour shade with at most accuracy and simplicity. METHADOLOGY/ BLOCK DIAGRAM
