This intensive 16-hour training is suitable

for volunteers, end-of-life caregivers,


psychotherapists, counselors, chaplains,
and others wishing to provide terminally
ill people with a compassionate, dignifed
end-of-life experience.
The course will be facilitated by Mitch
Metzner, PhD, MEd, Clinical Director/
CEO of Anam Cara and former Los
Angeles Chapter Director/lead trainer
for The Twilight Brigade, and Mary Ellen
Edwards, LCSW, FT, a death, dying,
and bereavement educator.
Participants who complete the course
will receive a certifcate of completion
and, as desired, opportunities for being
mentored and volunteering bedside.
Suggested Donation
There are many costs associated with
offering training programs as a nonproft.
A donation of $200 or more is suggested.
Give more if you can, less if you cant. No
one will be turned away for inability to pay.

CEUs Available
This course meets the qualifcations for
16 hours of continuing education credit
for MFTs, LPCCs, LEPs, and/or LCSWs
(provider number PCE5697) as required
by the Board of Behavioral Sciences and
for chaplains as required by the Board of
Chaplaincy Certifcation Inc. The cost is
$50 (non-refundable) for a 16-hour CE
certifcate in addition to a $200 donation
for the training.
