JOB OPENING: RESEARCH ASSISTANT

Camp Pendleton, CA

SUMMARY
General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a research assistant to work for the
Defense and Veterans Brain Injury Center (DVBIC) at Camp Pendleton, California.
The Research Assistant will support the Congressionally Mandated 15-Year study to
examine outcome from traumatic brain injury (TBI) in a military population and the effect
on family members.

DUTIES
Seek out and investigate opportunities for recruitment at Camp Pendleton and also via local
community outreach.
Take part in recruitment activities at Camp Pendleton and in the local community.
Maintain recruitment tracking documents, forms, and recruitment and retention materials.
Screen participants for eligibility.
Consent participants and complete study documents.
Create and maintain participant files and study materials.
Maintain research records in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Perform other study-related administrative procedures as required.
Work on other research protocols as required.

EDUCATION/TRAINING
Bachelor of Science/Arts in psychology, counseling, or related field is required.
1-2 years prior research assistance with human participant experience is required.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Must complete and maintain Camp Pendleton security clearance.
Study activities may necessitate evening, weekend, and a condensed work schedule to
accommodate participant needs.
Previous experience working with human participants is required.
Previous experience working in a military setting is an asset, but not required.
