Ans-In chemical engineering, we study three transfers

Processes (rate processes), namely
Momentum transfer or Fluid flow
Heat transfer
Mass transfer
The study of these three processes is called as
Transport phenomena

Q2-What are the modes of transfer processes?
Ans- There is actually three modes of transfer
I-Molecular transfer (Mass, momentum and heat)
Ii-Convective transfer (Mass, momentum and heat)
Iii- Radiation transfer (Only heat)
In molecular transfer, rate of transfer is a function of molecular activity whereas in convective transfer,
rate of transfer is mainly due to convective currents or fluid motion.
