Palestine Cabinet Meeting Brief Statement (8)

The government decided to set up a relief fund for our people in the Gaza Strip
Cabinet welcomes the Egyptian initiative to stop the aggression
And reconfirms its support for Mr. President and the Palestinian leadership's
request to secure international protection for our people

TheCabinetchairedbyPrimeMinisterDr.RamiHamdallah,welcomedtheEgyptianinitiativetostopthe
IsraeliaggressionontheGazaStrip,praisingtheEgyptianeffortstoprotectthePalestinianpeople.

TheCabinetdiscussedtherepercussionsofthecontinuedIsraeliaggressionforonourpeopleintheGaza
Strip, and decided to establish a relief fund to provide humanitarian aid, food and medical supplies,
shelterandfuelforourpeopleintheGazaStrip,callingonthePalestiniansociety,Arab,Islamicandthe
Internationalcommunitytosupportandfinancethefund.

TheCabinetalsodecidedtoformajointoperationsroombetweenthegovernmentandtheinternational
organizationsworkinginthehumanitarianareasinPalestinetocoordinateaidtotheGazaStrip.

The Cabinet stressed its supportfor Mr. President and the Palestinian Leadership's decision to hand the
United Nations a formal request to put the territory of the Palestinian State under the international
protection, end the occupation and enable our people to establish their independent Palestinian state,
withEJerusalemthecapital.

The Cabinet condemned the crimes and massacres committed by the occupation forces, which affected
the elderly, children, women, people with special needs, houses of worship, orphanages, hospitals,
schools, government and humanitarian institutions and agricultural land, in addition to bombarding the
housesontheirinhabitants,whichledtothekillingofentirefamilies.

TheCabinetcalledupontheHighContractingPartiestotheGenevaConventionsandallothercountries,
including the Arab and Islamic states, to assume their responsibilities and act immediately to stop the
Israelibarbarism,warcrimesandmassacrescommittedbytheoccupationforcesagainstourpeople,and
tostopthebloodshedandthehumanitariandisasterinGaza.
