CYCLONE

S
BY: Joon and
Martin.
What is a Cyclone?
 Cyclones are huge spinning
storms caused by and too much
water vapor blowing around in a
central area of low atmospheric
pressure. In the north hemisphere
the cyclones are spinning anti-
clockwise direction. In the
southern hemisphere.
How do Cyclones
occur?
 Cyclones are made of warm air near the
Equator. Air heated by the sun rises
very quickly, which creates areas of very
low pressure. As the warm air rises, it
becomes loaded with moisture which
condenses into massive thunderclouds.
At the centre of the storm is a calm,
cloudless area called the eye, where
there is no rain, and the winds are fairly
light. The air can get up to 2,000 km per
hour.
What will cyclones
occur?
 The cyclones will occur……………..
well just check it out.
