Thank you so much for downloading this menu
board!
In my 7th grade class, I really emphasize student's
choice in what they learn. In my school we are
required to teach a certain thing at a certain time
and not always given a huge choice on how we teach
it.
Because of this, I want to give my students a variety
of ways to show me that they know the material,
not just a worksheet or a multiple choice test. That
is the reason why I created this menu board.
I am basing it off of the traditional menu of
appetizers, entrees, and side dishes. Students will be
given this page along with the calculating work
page(attached) and will be required to complete
this page within one week. It requires a little bit of
responsibility from the students to keep up with it,
but with technology I'll be posting it on my
classroom website so they still have access to it.
This board is used as homework to supplement a
Plant Cell and Animal Cell Unit. If desired, this
menu board can also be used as stations where
student complete one activity per station.

The directions are pretty straight forward:
Everyone does the appetizer
Students can pick one entree (typically something that
takes more thought)
And students will pick 2 side dishes (typically
something that needs to be known but not a whole
concept, or it reinforces the appetizer or entree)

I included a full page to print off and half pages just
in case your school enforces paper saving.
Enjoy! - Ms. Barkman (Texas Science Gal)
I truly appreciate ratings, comments, feedback of any kind
