RE: Update to Pain Info in Bedside Books
Ladies,

In light of Monique's message, I'm wondering if we should just proceed under the assumption that we
need an updated pain education tool (regardless of whether it ends up in the book or not) and therefore go
ahead and expedite approval by the Pain Committee. That way I'll have a finalized document to send to
the Patient Education Committee by February 15th so that I can get on their March agenda for
review/approval. If it is decided in the meetings Monique mentions that it should be included in the book,
after all, we can send them our updated and approved tool. Thoughts?

Also, are either one of you planning on attending these meetings Monique is talking about?

We have a couple of meetings coming up in the next few weeks about the books. This is the largest book that
the company has ever created. We will be talking about what edits and deletions we can and need to make. Our
hope is to have the book printed and begin distributing sometime in April.
Im not sure how much of any of the materials we will keep in the book right now. I wish I could tell you more
but until we meet I dont have a firm answer for you.

I spoke with Barb Krumbach and Regina Fink at today's Pain Committee meeting. Barb sent me the
attached copy of the bedside book that she received from you. We have some tweaks to make to the page
on Pain (page 13). How soon would we need to get the information to you in order to have the changes in
the bedside books? When are they going to be printed and distributed?
