MULTIPLICATION & DIVISION

- I can identify and apply multiplication properties.
- I can choose the appropriate operation and solve word problems involving multiplication and
division.
- I can solve multiplication and division word problems by writing an equation with a variable.
- I can use a variety of representations to model a multiplication or division problem.
- I can solve a multistep word problem with whole numbers, using the four operations.
- I can interpret remainders in a multistep word problem.
- I can assess the reasonableness of answers using mental math, estimation, and rounding.
- I can find all the factor pairs for any number up to 100.
- I can recognize that any number is a multiple of each of its factors.
- I can determine if any number up to 100 is prime or composite.
- I can multiply whole numbers up to four digits.
- I can divide whole numbers with up to four digit dividends and one digit divisors.
- I can use the four operations to solve a variety of word problems involving whole numbers,
fractions, and decimals.


MEASUREMENT (These standards will be covered during science class.)

- I can recognize relative sizes of measurement units within one system.
- I can express measurements with a larger unit in terms of a smaller unit.
- I can record measurement data in a two column table.
- I can represent measurement quantities using diagrams such as number lines that include a
measurement scale.
- I can use area and perimeter formulas for rectangles to solve real world mathematical problems.

I can use primary and secondary sources to create historical narratives.

quarter in addition to beginning learning the following learning targets:

I can use relative pronouns and relative adverbs.
I can order adjectives in conventional order.
I can form and use prepositional phrases.

Writing 4.3
I can write a fiction and non-fiction narrative that includes details and clear events.
I can interest the reader in my narrative with a strong introduction
sentence/paragraph.
I can sequence my narrative clearly.
I can use dialogue and descriptions to spice up experiences, events, and/or characters
in my narrative.
I can write a strong conclusion sentence/paragraph that wraps up my narrative.
