What to Do When Children Don't Get It-
Using Feedback to Help Preschoolers Get Past Mistakes and Confusions
How adults interact when children are mistaken, confused or partially correct has apowerful
influence on whether children learn new ideas or refine ideas they already have. Educators who are
skilled at giving hints, exploring children's reasoning, providing information, and encouraging
persistence help children deepen their understandings, even help them become more capable
thinkers. Inthis session we wi1l experience educators using high-quality feedback as defined by the
CLASStool and practice.implementing feedback in daily Pre K activities,
