Hello!
Welcome to Mr. Munns World Geography class. I am excited to have you in my class and to begin what I know will be a
rewarding semester. This semester I will challenge you and put you to the test. However this class although about learning is
also about a bit o! !un as well. I know we will all get along and will work together to accomplish our goals !or this semester.

'tudents are expected to abide by the rules o! the school and those posted in Mr. Harringtons room. These rules are in place to help provide a
sa!e and distraction(!ree learning environment as well as to help you learn how to !unction as a responsible citi)en.

.aily attendance is crucial !or this class as is punctuality. Tardiness will not be tolerated.
3rie! restroom breaks will be allowed but this privilege must not be abused.
%ll makeup work must be completed within two days o! a single absence. It is your responsibility to get the makeup work. The
timeline !or turning in missed work !or an extended sickness or approved absence will be developed between the student and the
teacher. Tests and 4ui))es assigned be!ore a students absence must be made up a!ter school or during lunch within the week the
student returns.
%ll assignments must be handwritten unless otherwise speci!ied.
'tudents must be prepared !or a 4ui) at anytime. 5ui))es will not always be announced.
I! an assigned test inter!eres with other school activities the student must !orewarn the teacher and schedule a time to complete the
test be!ore the rest o! the class has taken it.
The class participation grade will be based on the students acti!e per"ormance. 6hint" I! you truly do not understand an idea ask a
4uestion( It helps you twice( you will understand the content better and it will boost your participation grade7
.ress code and the electronic policy along with other school rules will be en!orced.
0rogress &eports will be sent home every !our and a hal! weeks and intermittently in between. 0arents please log on to $ngrade so
that you may receive up(to(date reports on your students per!ormance.
I will not assign extra credit. $xtra credit may be given on tests but it will not exceed ten points.

week o! class. This will not only help me tailor lesson plans to meet each students needs but it is important to let you the

The notebook will be organi)ed by Goals. These goals re!lect the curriculum that we will cover in
the class.
To help in organi)ation each section will have a Table o! 1ontents in which each class material will
be numbered so students can !ind materials easily.
