    The Diversification strategy of NTPC is
    necessary:
    Coal- an exhaustible resource.
    Getting into renewable energy and nuclear is a need
    of the hour.
    Getting into vertical area of operation is also
    beneficial because of cost advantage, control over
    coal supply and to gain competitive advantage.

    Getting into hydro and Nuclear would
    increase their energy generation capacity.
    Highly skilled and experienced human
    resources, exposed to state-of-the art
    technologies in project execution and power
    generation.
    Increase of demand of electricity will
    ensure companys profit and sales.
