HON'BLE Minister for Human Resource Development Government of India Subject: Lack of resources for students studying at NIT Raipur Respected Maam, I am writing this letter with absolute frustration and with sense of being defeated. I study in one of the premiere institutes of India, National Institute of Technology, Raipur. For name-sake it is institute of national importance, while on ground it cannot even accommodate the entire strength in on-campus hostel. More than fifty percent students look for outside accommodation. These rented houses/hostel, deal a great blow to our domestic economics, and ultimately I feel burdening my parents, who work day and night to provide us with quality education. Even more, the Institute, already having sum of rupees in excess of crores, do not care enough to provide us with outside accommodation or food. Even the basic facilities like class rooms, wireless fidelity, Lab apparatus etc are not up to the mark. You have envisioned new IITs and IIMs. What is the use of these, if existing institutes are not up to the mark and are merely representative. I truly believe in your government and I am convinced that you are here to work and not pull political gimmicks. Kindly look into the matter, direct appropriate authorities and deal with accommodation and infrastructure problem. Thanking You Yours Sincerely Mukul Garg Student, at NIT Raipur (Pursuing bachelors in Technology of Civil Engineering) Email: mukulgarg94@gmail.com Cc: Shri. Narendra Modi , HON'BLE Prime Minister of India
