Lesson 1 Scriptures
And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole
spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord
Jesus Christ (1 Thess. 5:23).
That which is born of the fesh is fesh; and that which is born of the Spirit
is spirit (John 3:6).
The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what
is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in
the saints, And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who
believe, according to the working of his mighty power, Which he wrought in
Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand
in the heavenly places (Eph. 1:18-20).
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are
passed away; behold, all things are become new (2 Cor. 5:17).
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do
shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto
my Father (John 14:12).
It is the spirit that quickeneth; the fesh profteth nothing: the words that I
speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life (John 6:63).
For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man
beholding his natural face in a glass: For he beholdeth himself, and goeth
his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. But whoso
looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a
forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed
(James 1:23-25).
