TS Zephyr

GRIEVANCE PROCEDURE

TS ZEPHYR, as an organisation, is here to provide a service to the local community of

Caterham and Coulsdon, and the surrounding area. Our service is to young people and
the community through the Aims of the Corps.

As part of a National movement of approximately 400 units, 16000 cadets and 8000
volunteer staff, things work pretty well. But even in the best run organisations, things
don’t always go smoothly, and when things go wrong, it is important to know how to put
things right.

The best thing to remember is that bringing your problem to someone’s attention is
always the best way of resolving the matter. Matters are always best resolved at the
lowest possible level. After all, it is the adult instructors who work with the cadets
regularly who are best placed to answer any queries or concerns.

If an instructor cannot answer your question, your first point of contact would be the

Commanding Officer: Sub Lieutenant(SCC) Aaron Clarke RNR

How? Tel: 07834 827654 Email: co_caterham@yahoo.co.uk

or just pop into the Unit HQ for a cup of tea and a chat.
No appointment is needed.

In the unlikely event that the CO cannot help, you may make an appointment with the

Unit Chairman: Mr Tony Skilbeck

How? The CO will normally arrange this on your behalf

Exceptionally, if your problem has still not been resolved, the Unit Chairman and/or the
Commanding Officer can seek advice from a number of sources including

District Officer: Lieutenant Commander(SCC) Ray Mitchell RNR

Southern Area Office and in only the most complex cases, nationally at Sea Cadet HQ

It is hoped that there will be no problems, but if you have any queries or concerns, you
are encouraged to get in touch with us to discuss them.
