Welcome to the 2013-14 School Year

I am excited to begin our journey as we explore 7

th
grade science. I hope that you have enjoyed
your time off and are motivated to begin the new school year. I am Expecting Excellence
from all my students and look forward to a highly successful school year. The following is a
blue print to success in my class, and if followed I guarantee you will achieve success we seek.

Course Description

Students will be fully engaged in inquiry based science in accordance with the New Jersey Core
Standards of Curriculum (NJCCS), which will prepare students for success on the New Jersey
Assessment of Skills and Knowledge (NJ ASK).


Class Rules

Arrive on time prepared and ready to learn.
Respect all people in the classroom at all times.
Sit in your assigned seat and move only with permission.
Raise your hand to ask or answer questions.
No Eating or drinking in the room.
Follow all rules according to Handbook.
Always do your best.

4. Any severe offense fighting, destruction of property, extreme disrespect etc.
Immediate referral to office. ODR form documentation and contact made to home.

Mr. Martins Detention will be held 8:00 am on Monday in the class room. Parents/Guardians
will be given notice of detention the Friday before the detention.

Extra Help!!!
I will be available before and after school for extra homework help Tuesday thru
Thursday.
