I have made some interesting observations to explain this +/- aspect in a visual way. It also ties in with
the Zen Koan/Barber Paradox thing I mentioned above.

I'll post the diagrams once they're done.

Another simple way to look at the torus +/- aspect is that:

+1 -8
-1 +8

+2 -7
-2 +7

+3 -6
-3 +6

+4 -5
-4 +5

+9 -9
-0 +0

(Arithmetic equivalence, eg: 1+6=7 AND 1-3=7...etc)

If you take the two types of 3x3 square on the torus (one centred on +9 and the other on -9), then
overlay them, you can see this relationship quite obviously.

I also have an alternative way to explain the doubling circuit and how this involves the underlying base3
dynamic. I think Rodin refers to this in his talk, though he doesn't go into any details. Diagrams to
follow.

The hexagonal form of the dial is my current focus.

In terms of my original Egyptian Netherworld rendering, this goes a way to explain the inner triad (or
"Hall of Amenti" - from where Osiris is risen back to life), which is not present on the Rodin Dial yet
should be included in the Enneagram nuance as per the original Naqshbandi Sufi sources (cf. Laleh
Bakhtiar).



Then there's the Enneagram pattern of 1/7 => 142857

PS I'd like to thank Barbitone again for bringing Marko Rodin's Vortex Based Math to my attention. I
think I had actually seen it before, though I was only aware of the Gurdjieff Enneagram at the time - so
I didn't investigate any further. Doh!!!
