you to certain personal choices. The
compilation of typefaces that follows
is the result of an absolutely unsci-
entic survey I conducted among
designers and educators I know, to
nd out where their choices lead
them most often. This list provides
a useful point of departure for
further study.
I have divided the typefaces into
sections corresponding to the clas-
sication on pages 48 50. I have
shown small caps and lowercase
numerals where available.
