In the role of Student Administrative Assistant, I aid and support students and staff with any questions, issues or
concerns they may have. The role involves direct contact with students on a consistent basis. It requires the
following skills on a consistent basis:
Direct contact with future, current and previous Macquarie University students.
Conflict resolution - Solving the many challenges and issues students have with their university experience.
Relationship Management - As the first point of face to face contact for students, Student Connect must offer a
professional, positive and friendly environment for students.
Enrolment Operator
The role involved welcoming new Macquarie Students in the form of admitting them to their degrees, assisting
them with any enrolment issues and informing them about timetabling, fees and important dates.
