This document describes a 76mm canister round used in Saladin and Scorpion light tanks. It has a thin cylindrical body loaded with steel pellets that breaks open upon firing to project the pellets in a cone out to around 100 meters, intended for use against personnel at close range. The projectile sits atop a brass cartridge case containing a single-base propellant and primer.
