Acti"ity Tie
This week we will be doing My family again. We will introduce the vocabulary
using flashcards and make sure the students understand the concet. The
class will be asked to bring in hotos of their families. Mother and father! and
siblings if they have! and whatever e"tended family they are close to. We will
make a family tree. #irst drawing it on the board e"laining mother and father
and grandarents! then the self and siblings! uncles and aunts and cousins.
We will see how far we can get during the week and how the class manages
with the new toic. We will erhas first bring in a hoto of each student to ut
in the middle of the family tree and e"lain from there. $ will bring in a hoto of
myself and use myself as an e"amle. $ will stick the icture on the board and
draw lines to my mother and father and siblings! etc. Then get each student to
bring a icture of themselves to stick u and e"lain their family tree.
Phonics
$e# %letters/s&un's/"&cabulary(
We will continue to ractice basic blending this week. We will continue on with
the %an and %am word families. We will ractice sounding out each letter of the
words. Then! we will blend the sounds together starting at the beginning of the
word and adding a letter each time. &astly! we will read out all of the words and
learn their meaning.

This week we will continue our
review of the honetic sounds and
names of the letters from the first
half of the alhabet.
$ will be using new songs and
games to hel the student's
remember the sounds. (ne of the
games we will lay uses the letter
flashcard where students take turns
racing each other to be the first to
reach the correct letter by listening
for the sound.
Writin) Practice
This week we will ractice the letter
formation of some more of the
harder letters. We will be focusing
on the letters which are written
similar to the lowercase letter a'
like! g'! d'! and )'.
