Who are we?
We are a health care community who is
dedicated to improving the health of sick
children.
Our mission:
to provide the best in family-centered,
compassionate care, to lead in scientific and
clinical advancement, and to prepare the next
generation of leaders in child health.
Our history
Back in the spring of 1875,
Elizabeth McMaster and a
group of 10 women rented
a house that consisted of 11
rooms in Toronto for $325
a year, set up some cots and
called it hospital the
admission and treatment of
sick children.
On April 3
rd
was Sick Kids
very first patient, her name
was Maggie.
WHY GIVE?

Every year 100,000 kids are treated at Sick
Kids for life saving care.
With support we will continue to research and
help to save more lives.
With each donation we are able to have the
best equipment to help us to be top of the line.

$129.3 million dollars was donated
Care $21.8 million -For the best equipment,
renovations and staff. This
ensured quality for the
hospital.
Research $99 million -For project funds and having
the most advanced research
on hand to further helping
sick kids.
Learning $4 million -For training program for the
next generation of care
providers and make them the
top of their fields.
National and
International Projects
$4.5 million - To help children in Canada
and in 10 other countries
have better health care.
These are only 7% of the overall funding and support at the hospital this
past year.
