1.A boy weighs 55kg carries a box of 2 kg when climbing s stairs of vertical heigh 5m.
Calculate the work done by him.

2. A girl weighs 45kg carries books of 5kg. She climbs a stairs of 3m height in 20 s.
Calculate the power generated by her.

3. A student climbs up a 6m staircase with a 3.5kg parcel in 40s. If the power used by the
student is 87W, what is the mass of the student?

4. A soldier weighing 750 N carries the loads of 100N and 50N respectively. He is
ordered to go on a 10 km march. How much power does the soldier have if he complete
the march in 5 hours?

5. A man carrying a sack of rice walks for 40m in 20seconds. He weighs 50kg and the
sack of the rice weighs 10kg. How much power does he produce?

6. A pupil weighing 60kg climbs 15 steps up a staircase in 40 seconds. Each step of the
stairs is 20cm high. How much power is produced as he climbs the stairs?

7. A car weighing 500kg is being towed through a distance of 0.4km. How much power
in kW is needed to tow a car in 10 seconds?

8. A 150 N boy rides a 60 N bicycle a total of 200 m at a constant speed. The frictional
force against the forward motion of the bicycle equals 35 N. How much work does
the boy do?

9. A crane lifts a load of steel that weighs 9.3 105 N a distance of 100 m. It takes 5
minutes to complete the task.
