Lesson Matthew 21:28-32
Activity: Play Simon says. Accentuate the difference between being a hearer and a doer.
Craft: Paper Plate. Have students draw faces for each son on each side of the plate. Have
them put a smiley face on one side and note that this son did his father’s will. Put a frown
on the other side, and mark it as the son who did not do his father’s will. You can have
the students use them when doing true/false questions. Hold up smiley for true and frown
for false.

Memory Work:
Have the students (or prepare) actions to go with the words of the memory verse. Act out
the verse together as a group. For example: for doers, everyone pretend they are walking
or working with their hands. For word, cup hands like they are holding a book. For
hearers, cup your ear; etc.
