Course Information
Course Title: Meditation for Stress Relief
Instructor: Sarah Fahrni

Required Materials: Comfortable clothing
Course Description
This class is an introduction to basic breathing and meditation techniques that are
intended to calm the body and mind. A brief history followed by detailed instructions
and group practice will give the student the knowledge, skills and confidence to practice
meditation on their own at any time.
Course Outcomes
Understand the history and basic principles of meditation.
Understand that different forms of meditation have different goals for the mind
and body.
Can differentiate between the intentions of mindfulness meditation and loving
kindness meditation.
Student is comfortable in their ability to get into the meditative state.

Forgiveness and loving kindness meditation.
