Who am I?
My name is Nylyn Hackler. I
grew up in Logan. I have also
lived in Texas (Friendswood,
Beaumont, and El Campo)
and in other places in Utah
(Holladay, Murray, Mountain
Green). I moved to Smithfield
almost 12 years ago.
This is My Family
I have been married to my
husband, Rick, for 17 years.
He grew up in Washington,
California, and Mtn. Green,
Utah. He also lived in Illinois.
We have 5 children: Hayden is
almost 16, Bryson is 14, Kaylie
is 12, Ashlyn is 9, and Ayvree is
7. The two youngest attend
Sunrise.

This is Why I Teach
I love to see students learn, succeed, and feel good about themselves and
school. I want them to understand that its their choices that show who
they are more than their abilities.
These are My Hobbies
I love to read, go on trips with my family, and be involved in my
kids activities. They are involved in violin, piano, baritone,
trombone, French horn, and voice lessons. One son also teaches
piano. They are also involved in band, tennis, ballroom dance,
scouts, musical theater, sewing, swimming, art, marching band,
singing groups, cross-country skiing, and a variety of after school
clubs. I understand a busy family life and try not to add lots of
homework to my students lives just for the sake of giving
homework. Of course, there will be reading and projects.

Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education and Early
Childhood Education from U.S.U.
