Symptom

Environment
l SAP Business Planning and Consolidation 10.0, version for SAP NetWeaver
l SAP BusinessObjects EPM solutions, add-in for Microsoft Office 10.0

Reproducing the Issue
1. Open Excel
2. Click on EPM tab
3. Click the log on button
4. Create a new connection to BPC server
5. Provide username and password and click to log on BPC

Cause
BPC installation was performed on a ISO 8859-1 system and non-unicode systems are currently not supported for BPC installations.

Resolution
Install BPC on a unicode only system. This requirement is described on BPC Installation Guide section 2.1.3 - Server Prerequisites.
