The document provides instructions for installing a VATS Passkey Full Bypass on 1998-2005 Chevrolet and GMC vehicles with VATS. It describes locating the Body Control Module (BCM) under the driver's side dash, disconnecting connectors from the BCM, and splicing wires from the bypass into specific pins on two BCM connectors. It also outlines a relearning procedure to have the vehicle learn the new Sensor Data Code, involving repeating a start and wait cycle three times over 30 minutes.

Locate the BCM and install the VATS Passkey Full Bypass The BCM is under the drivers side of the dash. Remove the left sound insulator. Disconnect the Brown BCM connector first then all the others, and then make the connections as indicated. There are 3 electrical connectors on the BCM (C1, C2,and C3) We need C1 and C2. Both have the same shape but are a different colour. Connector C1 is brown and Connector C2 is light blue. They are both 24 pin connectors. To install the Full bypass connect it as follow: RED wire : Splice into the pink wire in BCM connector C1 Pin B2 BLK wire: Splice into the black wire in BCM connector C1 Pin B1 BRN wire: Splice into the orange/black wire in BCM connector C2 pin A2 YEL wire: Cut the wire at BCM Connector C2 Pin B3 (YEL) and attach the wire to the BCM side of the cut. Tape the other side off the way. BLU, GRN wires: dont connect (if present)
Reconnect the BCM, brown connector last.
Perform the re-learning procedure 1. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF. 2. Attempt to start the engine, then release the key to ON (vehicle will not start). 3. Observe the SECURITY light, after approximately 11 minutes the light will turn OFF. 4. Turn OFF the ignition, and wait 10 seconds. 5. Repeat steps 1 through 4 two more times for a total of 3 cycles/ 30 minutes ( the vehicle is now ready to relearn the Sensor Data Code and/or passwords on the next ignition switch transition from OFF to CRANK).
Important: The vehicle relearns Sensor Data Code and/or password on the next ignition switch transition from OFF to CRANK. You must turn the ignition OFF before attempting to start the vehicle. Start the engine (the vehicle has now learned the Sensor Data Code and/or password). The installation is completed.
