2014-2015 Syllabus

Classroom Expectations

Be in your assigned seat when the bell rings. Do not
get out of your sear without permission.
Have all necessary classroom materials with you!
Turn in your assignments on time.
Please keep all your returned work.
Do not open any cabinets or drawers, except those
with a green sticker or the ones assigned to you for
laboratory purposes.
Do not lean back on the chairs.
Follow all lab safety rules.
No food or drink will be allowed in the lab.
Be respectful to classmates, yourself, the classroom,
and your teacher at all times.
All students must remain seated at their desks until
the bell rings at the end of class.

Failure to abide by these rules will result in disciplinary
action by the instructor and/or administration.


Textbook: Pearson Interactive Science books
I will be handing out textbooks to students at a later
date. You will write in these textbooks to record your
learning and understanding of the material. There is
also an online component that students will learn to
use for supplemental material and activities.





Materials Needed for Class:

3-ring binder
Loose-leaf paper (100 sheets to start)
Calculator
Pencil/pens/highlighters
iPad


Make-Up Work:

According to School policy, makeup work needs to be
completed after any absence. Students who will be missing
class for a school activity are responsible for getting any
assignments from me to complete before you leave!


Grading:

Tests- 40%
Labs/Quizzes- 30%
Homework- 20%
Participation- 10%

Extra Credit:

No extra credit will be given. Assigned work is important
and should be the focus of your energy.

Extra Help:

All students are welcome to come to my room for help on
homework or content before school, during SRB, or after
school.

Make an effort every day and ask for help if you need it!
