FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Latino HealthCare Forum Responds as
50,000 Risk Losing Insurance
Press release

AUSTIN, Texas, August 15, 2014 The Latino HealthCare Forum (LHCF), a not-for-profit Hispanic
policy organization, announced an action plan today after the Federal Marketplace (FMP) notified as
many as 50,000 Central Texans that their health insurance is at risk. Due to data matching issues, the
FMP is requiring select individuals to submit requested documentation no later than Sept. 5. If you
received such a letter from the FMP, there is help for you at the Latino HealthCare Forum.

From Aug. 18 to Sept. 5, trained LHCF enrollment specialists will be available to help respond to these
FMP requests. Anyone who would like assistance may come to our offices at 6601 Felix Avenue (in
East Austin, off Montopolis Rd.) and be seen on a first come, first served basis. Ideally, the enrollee will
call us to see what is necessary to bring in order to provide an immediate response to the notice. Our
HealthCare Hotline is 1 (855) 373-5423, extension 0 or extension 129.

Regular office hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Special accommodations can be
made by calling for an appointment at the above number.

The LHCF enrollment and re-enrollment staff is trained and experienced in supporting the healthcare
enrollment effort here in Central Texas, said Frank Rodriguez, President/CEO of LHCF.

We want to make sure our friends and neighbors dont lose out on health coverage because of a
missing document, added Hugo Diaz, an LHCF enrollment specialist.

Only individuals who receive a warning from the FMP need to take action. The vast majority of enrollees
are not affected, and getting a notice does not mean that the enrollee is ineligible for Marketplace
insurance.
