Dear Comrades,
On behalf of the National Council of the Communist Party of India, please accept our warm
fraternal greetings on the auspicious occasion of the seventy-fifth anniversary of the founding
of the Communist Party of Burma.
The Communist Party of India is well aware of the vital role of the CPB in anti-fascist struggle
in Burma for its independence. Due to the treachery of the then ruling party the CPB was
banned and was forced to go underground. Till now the CPB has to face many upheavals and
undergo through hard times even then it is surviving.
At present though it has to work underground activities against present military rulers, we
strongly believe that in near future once again CPB will be in a position to lead the people of
Burma in their struggle for genuine democracy, peace, progress and for social justice.
The Communist Party of India while appreciating the present role of Communist Party of
Burma wishes its further success in its struggle for the benefit of the people of Burma.
Looking for strengthening the bilateral relationship between CPI and CPB and people of both
the countries.
