Vocabulary activities can precede a reading lesson.

A pre-reading activity
must focus on the new vocabulary introduced by the text at hand. Pre-teaching
vocabulary should be done in order to ensure learners' understanding.
Techniques
1.Engagement activities - meant to ignite curiosity and motivate engagement.

The allotted time for this pre-reading section of the lesson should not exceed
15 minutes and should not go under 5.
