Housing Fund Committee

Goal: To solicit, collect and distribute funds for the building and/or purchase of a chapter house at Missouri University S&T
campus. Funds will be in the form of brother, corporate and family/guest donations, as well as various fundraising events.
The goal is to have the Grand Presentation of the Chapter House at Homecoming 2017.

Contributions: Contributions will be tax deductible and collected both formally and informally. Formal contributions will
be in the form of contribution packages that will be mailed and/or emailed annually. Informal contributions will be via the
“I Got $5 On It” program, where contributions can be made anytime via internet/electronic payments or scheduled monthly
donations. Contributing brothers will be recognized both individually and per Ship. Corporate, family/guest and fund raising
donations will be listed as contributions on behalf of its
sponsoring brother. Memorial contributions can also be made on Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity
behalf of brothers in Omega Chapter Epsilon Psi Chapter

All contributing brothers will be recognized in the chapter house.
There will a Black Wall of Fame and a Gold Wall of Fame for GEM
brothers who reach those levels. Gem brothers will have special
showcases and Gem (3 to 5 Star) brothers will be given the
opportunity to have specified rooms named in their honor. (Sample Badge)

“I Got $5 On It”: The “I Got $5 On It” contribution program is patterned after President Obama’s overwhelmingly success grassroots
fundraising programs. Donations of any amount ($5 min.) can be made at anytime. It is recommended that you setup a monthly
contribution schedule. Over time your contribution totals will steadily increase, without you feeling any impact to your monthly budget.

Fundraisers: Individual fundraisers are a great way of increasing your

contribution totals. The committee will work individual brothers
and/or ships to help develop fundraisers. Note: All fundraising
activities must have the written approved of the committee prior to any
fundraising event and/or action.
Potential fundraisers:
 Annual Father/Son GolfTournament & Auction to be held
in St. Louis on the Saturday before Father’s Day along with
an auction.
 Chick-Fil-A Spirit Nights where a portion of the nights Father/Son Golf
proceeds will be denoted to sponsoring organization. Tournament
 Entertainment Coupon Books tailored your geographically
area.
