Skills I am a technologically savvy individual with a positive attitude and a willingness to be a lifelong learner. I am able to teach students how to use platforms including Google Docs and website creation through Weebly. I am proficient with both Apple Software and Microsoft. I have been teaching both students and adults for the last 6 years and able to adjust my methods to the learner. Working in special education, I also have developed several methods to motivate students who traditionally do not have the innate desire or ability to learn easily. Experience Ed Tech II MSAD 54 August 2014-Present Marti Stevens Learning Center I am currently working in a project based, science driven, standards based learning environment. I assist students and teachers in the classroom. I work as an aid to any student who need assistance and also cover all secretarial duties. 9-12 Summer School Science Teacher July 2014 During summer school I assisted high school students in a PLATO based remedial science course teaching Chemistry, Physics and Biology. Aiding students learning by demonstrating and describing skills that were needed to master the material. Tutor For MSAD #54 December 2013-Present Im currently working with two students completing daily lessons during school and after school. I also assist in the Reading 180 program and small group lessons. Student Teaching September 2013-December 2013 While student teaching I planned and implemented daily lessons for 5 classes throughout the entire first trimester while maintaining classroom productivity and all behavioral issues. I taught students to use google docs and several other technology based tools and created a nearly paperless classroom. Substitute Teacher MSAD #54, September 2012-Present Substitute Teacher RSU 18 and Cornville Regional Charter School March 2014- Present As a substitute I arrive at school in a timely manner to look over a provided lesson plan to be executed that day. I introduce the topics to the students and conduct all assignments. I provide help, guidance and encouragement to students while completing their given assignments and maintain an orderly and fun classroom. Sherwin-Williams Assistant Store Manager February 2008- September 2012 As a training store manager I was responsible for all store employees, maintaing all paperwork and filing. I maintained accounts receivable and payable as well. I trained college interns and graduates how to be successful in a career with Sherwin-Williams. Medical Microbiology Teaching Assistant Fall 2005 and Spring 2006 As a lab assistant I was responsible for preparing all lab material for the labs. I prepared media, cultured bacteria and cleaned all lab equipment. I set up each lab and assisted during lab to aid students with completing assignments. I was also collected and graded all lab work. Education University of Maine Augusta September 2012- December 2013 Teaching Certification program. Received my certification in Secondary Education in Life Science in January 2014.
