We have had a wonderful start to second grade! Thank you to those of you who returned back to school paperwork and extra supplies. Each Friday I will send home a newsletter with the skills we will be covering the following week. ou will notice in !"pcoming Events# that we will be taking a practice test for our story next week. That is because we are using this opportunity to model responses and show students how to re$read and look back in the text to find answers. These will be sent home with your child. %lease be sure to take the time to go over it with them& discuss their answers& ask them 'uestions& etc. This will be a great tool to help prepare your child for our upcoming reading assessments. (s always& if you have 'uestions or concerns& please do not hesitate to call or email. We are here for you! Thanks& Allyson Houlton
