N E I G H B O R Im Martha Thomas Rudisill. I am an 11th generation Charlestonian and love living on Daniel Island. It is very much like the small town Charleston was when I was growing up. I graduated from the College of Charleston with a BS in Pre-med in the class of 1960 and from the School of Cytotechnology at the Medical College of South Carolina. I worked as a cytotechnologist and an electron microscopy technician in Spartanburg, SC,Atlanta, GA,Athens, GA and retired from the Medical University of South Carolina in 2001. Now Im having fun designing and painting both needlepoint canvases, especially for Grace Episcopal Church kneelers, and watercolors. Some of my needlepoint canvases have made their way throughout the United States to as far away as Hawaii. Im currently taking watercolor lessons from Charles Parnelle, a local watercolor artist, at the Lowcountry Senior Center and on-line courses from an artist in Canada. You are all invited to view my paintings and needlepoint canvases at the Honeycomb Cafe, downtown Daniel Island. They will be on display and for sale the entire month of September!
