This document describes a study that developed a fuzzy inference system using the Takagi-Sugeno-Kang (TSK) method to determine the daily energy needs of adult humans. The TSK-1 fuzzy inference system uses 7 fuzzy input variables like age, weight, height, and body temperature, as well as one crisp variable of gender, to build 44 rules in an IF-THEN format. The rules use a consistent linear equation of the input variables in the consequent. Testing the system by inputting variable values proved that the TSK fuzzy inference method can accurately measure an adult's daily energy requirements based on their conditions.

Department of Informatics Faculty of Science and Technology State Islamic University of Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau ABSTRACT Everyone's daily energy required will always vary depending on the condition of the person's body. Although theoretically, there have been many existing equations to calculate the energy required, but it is quite a complicated equation is implemented primarily for human conditions which can not be clearly explained. In this research, a fuzzy inference system is built with the method of TSK (Takagi- Sugeno-Kang) which is aimed at calculating the daily energy requirement for an adult or mature human. The order TSK-1 method uses a 7 fuzzy input variables, in example age, weight, height, body temperature, dietary goals, activity and intensity of the disease, as well as one crisp variable, namely gender. Fuzzy rules in the form IF antecedent THEN consequent, using a consistent linear equation of input variables. Fuzzy set is built with the down function linear, triangle, and linear ride. This system provides several options such as fuzzy set operators: and, or, mean, mean intensified, diluted mean, product, bounded sum, bounded product. The system also provides operators negation and hedge (very or somewhat) for fuzzy sets. Coefficient of each variable in the consequent linear equations obtained under basal energy expenditure estimated by the Harris-Bennedict, and the practical methods estimate calorie needs. This system has got 44 regulations. The application test result by inputting the score values of each variable according to the range have proven that this TSK fuzzy inference method application is able to measure the adult peoples daily energy required on a certain condition.
