LITERACY

Target skills: The students will begin to
discuss characters, settings, and events in
stories.

Phonics: Consonants f, b, g, d, l, h, short
i, short o. Isolate initial/medial/final
phonemes

Writing: Simple sentences with uppercase
letter, finger spaces, and end marks.

MATH

We are practicing counting to 120, and
graphing our classroom data. We are
beginning to use ten frames. Math centers
will be introduced this week.

WELCOME!!! We have had a fantastic few first days. Our classroom is absolutely
wonderful! We have been working hard on completing a few beginning of the
year assessments, such as, writing letters, and numbers, learning rules, and
procedures, and are still continuing getting to know one another. This is the type
of newsletter you will be receiving throughout the year. It will include what skills
we are working on, and any important dates, etc. We have a great bunch of
