With the departures of All-Star guard Chris Paul to the Clippers and free agent forward David West to the Pacers, the Hornets have transitioned to rebuilding mode for the upcoming season led by young guard Eric Gordon acquired in the Paul trade alongside holdovers Emeka Okafor and Trevor Ariza.
