Formatting your manuscript

Please use the following checklist before submitting your print-ready manuscript.

Is your manuscript file in PDF format?

Do your illustrations and graphics have

a minimum resolution of 300dpi?

Is the line spacing between 1.15 and 1.60? (for

footnotes/illustrations at least 1.0)?
Are all pages in DIN A4 (210x297mm) portrait
format?
Is the font size in your illustrations and
graphics at least 10pt?

Is the text alignment justified on all pages?

Do your illustrations, graphics and

page numbers respect the 2cm (or
3cm) margin size?

Manuscripts up to 400 pages: Are the margins set to
2cm for the body text, footnotes, illustrations and
page numbers (top, bottom, side)?

Is the used font type Arial or Times

New Roman?

Is the pagination continuous and consecutive

(no missing pages or page numbers)?

Manuscripts more than 400 pages: Are the side

margins set to 3cm for the body text, footnotes,
illustrations and page numbers?

Is the used font size for the body text

at least 14pt?

Do the Table of Contents and Chapter 1 start

on an odd-numbered page? (1st page in PDF =
right/odd-numbered page; 2nd page =
left/even-numbered page, etc)

Others

Is the used font size for headlines at
least 16pt?

Is the alignment of page numbers centered on

the top or bottom?

Does the manuscript contain a table of contents?

Is the used font size for footnotes at

least 11pt?

Are the title page and statutory declaration (if any)
removed?

Are all used font types embedded?
