Class Objectives:
o Use the language of visual arts to communicate effectively.
o Apply creative and critical thinking skills to artistic expression.
o Create art using a variety of tools, media, and processes, safely and appropriately.
o Understand the global, historical, societal, and cultural contexts of the visual arts.
o Understand the interdisciplinary connections and life applications of the visual arts.
o Use critical analysis to generate responses to a variety of prompts.


Expectations:
Respect respect your classmates, teacher, guest, supplies, artwork
Responsibility follow all directions, use best judgment, be self-aware
Punctuality Be on time. Turn in all assignments on time (homework, sketches, projects, ect)
Positive Perspective be ready to learn new things, have a positive attitude, turn mistakes into
happy accidents
Organization Remove all trash from your area. ASSIST other classmates at end of day. Place all
materials in proper designated areas

GRADES
Grades are completed on a point system.
Grades will come from homework, quizzes,
sketches, Projects and notebooks
Points and frequency for each assignment
are as follows:
Quizzes / Homework = 10 points (as given)
Sketch Book = 20 points (every 3 weeks)
Notebook Check = 50 points (every 6 weeks)
Class Projects = 100 points (as given)

** Incomplete work will not be accepted.
Each day an assignment is late will be 5
points off your final grade
**Please request additional time after school
to complete your assignment if needed
