Chemical and Physical

Changes in Pancakes

Physical Changes
Physical changes are changes that changes
one or more of the physical properties. They
are fluffy, delicious, and warm. The physical
changes happened when we mixed all the
ingredients together.
Chemical Changes
Chemical changes are when the substances change and
have new properties. Some chemical properties of
pancakes are, they are solid and flammable. Some
chemical changes that took place when we were making
them was that it went from a chunky liquid to a solid. Also,
when we put all of the ingredients together and stir it, it
becomes the batter. This is a great example of a chemical
change.
How these are incorporated in
Pancakes
Each ingredient in the batter has its own property then
when you put all the ingredients together (Mix) and heat
them then the end product, a pancake, has different
properties than the individual ingredients. This is a
chemical change. Physical changes are incorporated in
pancake because the color changes the longer it is cooked
and the fluffiness is determined by how long you stir the
batter.
Conclusion
There are several chemical and physical changes involved
in making pancakes. An example of a chemical change is
when you stir all of the ingredients together they form a
new substance that will make a new object when heated.
An example of a physical change is when you stir the
ingredients together the become a thick batter and the
more you stir it the more rubbery the pancake will be due to
proteins becoming parallel.
