Map of the Island

St Lucia is one of the
Caribbean islands.
This group of islands is
between North America and
South America, it is hot all
year around.
It takes 8 hours to fly to St
Lucia.

The St Lucia flag shows the mountains of the
island called the Pitons.
These are two big mountains called Gros Piton
and Petit Piton.

The island is covered in rainforest.
There are many beautiful animals in the
rainforest like parrots, snakes, lizards and
toucans .
In the middle of the Island there is a volcano.
The volcano is called Soufriere Volcano.
Locally it is known as Sulphur Springs because
there is lots of Sulphur, steam and bubbling
mud and it smells like rotten eggs.
