This document evaluates the mass balance of the digester and screw press units in the pressing process section of a palm oil mill. It finds that the actual production capacity of both units exceeds their design capacities. Specifically, the digester's actual capacity is 25,998.21 kg/hr compared to its design of 15,000 kg/hr, while the screw press's actual capacity is 15,630 kg/hr compared to its design of 15,000 kg/hr. It concludes that optimizing performance requires maintaining stable temperatures of 90-95°C in the digester and 90-95°C in the screw press, as well as a pressure of 30 bars.

SMA Upaya mengoptimalkan kinerja pada unit digester dan screw press adalah dengan menjaga suhu tetap stabil pada 90 95 o C pada digester dan 90 95 o C pada screw press, serta menjaga tekanannya agar tetap 30 bar. Hasil perhitungan neraca massa didapat bahwa kapasitas produksi pada stasiun pressing process melebihi dari kapasitas produksi desainnya. Berdasarkan kapasitas produksi pada keadaan aktual di unit digester adalah 25998,21 kg/jam sedangkan desainnya 15000 kg/jam. Sedangkan pada unit screw press kapasitas produksi pada keadaan aktual di unit digester adalah 15630 kg/jam sedangkan desainnya 15000 kg/jam.
