Solution Egg is Soaking In Observations

Day 1 Vinegar Egg has hard shell. Shell is calcium carbonate and
the vinegar is carbonic acid.
Day 2 Sodium Chloride (NaCl) Shell is dissolved.
CaCO3+CH3COOH to H2CO3+H2O+CO2
Cells go from high concentration to low
concentration (NaCl to inside egg, water out of
egg). Therefore, the egg was smaller due to less
water inside the egg.
Day 3 Deionized Water Egg is transparent. Egg is larger and filled with
water. The water flows into the egg like before
(cells go from high concentration to low
concentration). When we cut the egg, it burst due to
the high pressure caused by a large amount of
water in the egg.
