CARE OF ELECTRIC SHOCK:

During rainy season, we mostly come across people sufering from electric
shock. An Electric Shock occurs when human body comes in contact with
electrical energy source. The electric current fows through the body and may
cause no inury to de!astating grie!ous inuries leading to death, depending on
the intensity of electricity and e"posure. #urns are the most common form of
inury, seen at the point of contact with electricity and ground. Skin burns,
numbness, tingling, unconsciousness, !isual or hearing problem or any other
worrying thing should call for medical help. The following simple measures
protect us from the ha$ards of electric shock.

The electrical wires and appliances must be regularly obser!ed for weak
insulation.
%mmediately repair faulty electric appliances from an e"pert.
&e!er touch or go near to any electric appliance with wet hands or bare
footed.
'hildren must be kept away from electric wires and appliances.
During thunderstorm and lightening ne!er seek shelter under tree or
metal sheds.
(ictims of high !oltage or se!ere shock should be be immediately shifted
to hospital emergency.
The !ictim should be separated from electricity by wooden or some
insulated material.
&e!er touch an electric pole during and after rain.
