CHS Interim Results Letter
These interim results are based on questionnaires from the first 100,000
participants to respond to our follow-up questionnaires.
After one year, adults reported that 86% of the children in the study had
become more aware of their health in general, and 93% had some positive
result to show for it.
• 63% had been to the doctor less often, while 55% reported missing less
school.
• 55% were taking less over the counter medication or prescription drugs.
• Academic achievement and athletic participation were dramatically
improved, and over half (51%) reported an improvement in image and
self-esteem.
Adults in the study reported similar improvements in their health and nutrition.
They report that 88% have themselves become more aware of their health in
general; and 95% have some specific positive results to show for it.
• 49% of the adult participants have been to the doctor less often, while
51% report missing less work due to either their own or their child's
illnesses.
• 42% are taking less over the counter medication and/or taking less
prescription drugs.
