If not, check the cable, try to unplug the RJ-45 and plug it
back.
1.Go to the other PC, and Do STEP 4.2.
When you succeed to all PCs, then all of your PCs are networked
physically.
Are they really connected?

Why?

Perform the IP Address configuration (Ref: Experiment 7) to all PCs.

Set the IP addresses of both PCs to the same network (e.g.


192.168.2.n)

Now Perform the Ping Test again.

You have succeed in building a peer to peer network.

Utilize the Fault Insertion Module


Now unplug RJ45 from either PC and put Fault Insertion Module (CLPPLT-G1) in between 2 PCs. Please refer to Error: Reference source

1. Turn the switch of the Fault Insertion Module to NORMAL position.
Do the Ping Test to other PC.
Are they connected?
1.Turn the Fault Insertion Module to FAULT Position. Do the Ping Test
to other PC. Compare the results.

cable.
Share your resource.
Go to one PC, make a temporary folder.
Make the temporary folder shared.
Go to other PC, open RUN command line window.
Type other IP address (eg. \\192.168.2.2) and press (Enter)

Now try with the straight cable.


Take off one the cross cable. And replace with the straight cable as
